Abstract
At Maritz, we see it as our duty to stay ahead of the technology curve. Our internal AP processes needed to be automated utilizing Oracle Applications and document management technology. This session will discuss how we transformed our processes and organization using 170 Systems MarkView solution.

Being such an innovative and technology driven company, Maritz realized that our ERP systems must be world-class in order to ensure our business units deliver the best services to our clients. We had a number of challenges specifically in our Accounts Payable (AP) department that lead us to explore how to utilize technology to the fullest extent possible. Maritz operates Shared Services centers in St. Louis, the UK and Canada. Maritz undertook a number of performance improvement initiatives specifically in the AP department. The initiatives were designed to solve:
- Inaccurate billing information
- Lost invoices
- An awkward approval process
- Inefficiencies in coding and approving invoices
- Lost discounts due to our inability pay invoices quickly
- Significant time spent performing customer service functions
- A need for a more flexible delegation of authority process
