Speaking Engagements

Kevin Wilbur, Practice Director, 170 Systems , September 15, AP Analytics: The Express Train to Higher Performance in Finance , ASUG Operations Optimization Event, Nashville

You've done it all - standardized on a single ERP instance, integrated workflow, and automated AP processing. Now, how do you further improve operations? Traditionally historically focused, today's AP-Focused analytics tools leverage both your ERP data and workflow data to offer new levels of predictive and actionable intelligence. Attendees will gain a thorough understanding of the state of AP analytics and how they can harness these powerful tools to improve the bottom line.

Heather Bleau, AP Manager, Millipore Corporation, October 16, Successfully Integrating New Acquisition into World-Class AP Organization, IOMA AP Conference, Las Vegas

Millipore Corporation, a life science leader that provides technologies, tools and services for bioscience research and biopharmaceutical manufacturing, has a strong portfolio of leading-edge technologies, tools and services - all supported by a world-class AP organization. In the last year, that AP organization - a shared services organization based in Massachusetts -- has been managing a tremendous amount of change as they absorbed an acquisition that nearly doubled the size of the company. The acquired company included nine different locations, each with its own departmental AP processes. This session will review the process of integrating the numerous operating units into the standard corporate AP processes, while respecting the varied needs of each.

Jochen Hager, Director for SAP Business Development, 170 Systems, October 20, Streamlined Travel Expense Management , ASUG Business Management Event, Dallas

Efficiently and accurately managing travel and expenses is one of the leading finance challenges, especially in organizations with very mobile workforces. In most cases, expenses are submitted for reimbursement via a spreadsheet form with photocopies of receipts (or originals taped up); receipts and the reimbursement spreadsheet are sent to the AP department or travel expense group for review and payment, while approvals are manually routed, often without original receipts available. This process does not effectively leverage the technology or human resources in the organization and makes it especially challenging to ensure compliance with corporate expense policies.
