170 Systems, Inc. Names David Ellenberger CEO
CAMBRIDGE, MA - February 25, 2003 - 170 Systems, Inc., a leading provider of business process management software for Global 1000 enterprises, today announced it has named David Ellenberger chief executive officer. In addition to his role as CEO, Ellenberger will also join the board of directors of 170 Systems.
A twenty year veteran of building and growing high technology organizations, Ellenberger joins 170 Systems from Vividon, a streaming media technology company, where he was president and CEO prior to its merger with Starbak Communications. Ellenberger also served as president of DataSage, a software and services company acquired by Vignette Corporation, and held senior management positions with Data General and AT&T Bell Labs.
"David's experience and leadership will be a tremendous asset for 170 Systems as we continue our growth," said Karl Büttner, president and co-founder of 170 Systems. "He brings a great track record of building successful enterprise software organizations, and we are privileged to have him on board. Büttner continues to direct the 170 Systems product and technology strategy, and is responsible for the company's products.
