170 Systems Awarded For Best Technology Operations Application At The 2004 MITX Technology Awards Ceremony

170 MarkView System Recognized as One of New England’s Most Innovative Technologies

BEDFORD, MA - September 27, 2004 - 170 Systems, a provider of business process management and document management software that integrates with leading ERP systems, has been selected as a winner in the category of Best Technology Operations Application for the 2004 MITX Technology Awards. Held by the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX), the MITX Technology Awards recognize some of New England’s most innovative technologies, individuals and companies that have made significant contributions to advance technology and innovation in the region.

“Technology and innovation continue to thrive in New England and our Award winners and special honorees are a true testament to that fact,” said Leslie Cushing, executive director of MIMC. This year’s MITX Technology Award winners were evaluated on four primary criteria: the business solution provided by the technology; the technical merit of the technology; the scalability of the solution and the degree to which the technology is considered innovative.

The 170 MarkView™ System is a unique combination of document management, business process management and ERP integration technologies that enables all information, regardless of its original source or format, to be captured, managed and routed online. The 170 MarkView System is tightly integrated with ERP systems such as the Oracle E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft Financials, resulting in a single, unified system that is uniquely suited to streamlining financial processes such as accounts payable and expense management.

“170 Systems is honored to be among the winners of this year’s MITX Awards,” said Dave Ellenberger, CEO of 170 Systems. “This award is a recognition of the hard work and talent of our entire 170 Systems team. We are focused on delivering world-class best practices solutions for ERP financial applications, and this award validates what our customers already know - that we can save them a lot of money and help them gain complete audit control of their core financial processes.”

The Awards were presented on September 22 at a ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel attended by 200 of the region’s top technology and business professionals. Additional award honorees included Ray Stata, chairman of Analog Devices for the Lifetime Achievement Award and Dr. Charles Vest, President of MIT for the Innovation Influencer of the Year Award.

The 2004 MITX Technology Awards were sponsored by Bank of America, Nixon Peabody LLP, TD Capital Ventures, Technology Review and The Barbarian Group.
