170 Systems Announces New Member of Executive Team and Expanded European Operations

Company Adds Tony Scotto, Product Development Veteran, to Executive Team and Opens New Office in France to Better Serve European Market

Bedford, MA - September 19, 2006 - 170 Systems, the leader in optimizing financial processes for the world's leading organizations, today announced that Tony Scotto has joined the company as Vice President of Product Development, and that it is expanding operations in Continental Europe.

Scotto will lead the product development strategy and delivery for the company, supervising the engineering and quality assurance organizations.

Prior to joining 170 Systems, Scotto was the Vice President of Development for the Merchandise, Planning and Optimization products in the Oracle Retail Business Unit, which he joined when ProfitLogic was acquired by Oracle in 2005. Previously, he was the Senior Vice President of Product Development at StorageNetworks Inc., which he joined from Idiom, Inc., where he was Vice President of Product Development. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President of Product Development for technology firms, including Media 100 Inc., EMC Corporation and

GenRad, Inc. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut and is a graduate of Northeastern University's Executive Management Program.

Expanded European Operations

170 Systems also announced that it has opened new offices in Paris, France, managed by François Chiche, 170 Systems' new Director of Sales for Continental Europe.

With 20 years' experience managing partners in the US and international markets, Chiche brings an in-depth knowledge of international sales and business development. Prior to joining 170 Systems, Chiche was with Adobe Systems as Southern Europe Director of Solution Sales and, previously, as Country Manager. Formerly, Chiche worked for IBM France as Director, Data Management West Region (France and Benelux), which he joined when Informix Software France, was acquired. He also worked for Ardent Software as Director of Worldwide Business Development prior to their acquisition by Informix. He holds an MBA from l'École Des Cadres du Commerce et des Affaires Économiques de Paris.
